Advanced Open Water Diver Course
You don’t have to be “Advanced” to take it – it’s designed to advance your diving so, depending on which agency you choose, you could either start your Advanced course right after earning your Open Water Diver certification or alternatively you could decide to gain further experience by participating in a number of dives before progressing thus building a more solid base.
The course helps build confidence and expand your scuba skills through different Adventure Dives.
WHAT DOES THIS ACTIVITY INVOLVE
This course is made up of Five Advanced dives, ‘Three Elective dives & Two Core dives.’ At the start of the Advanced or Advanced Adventurer Course the Elective dives chosen are carefully selected, discussed & safely planned with the student.
The two CORE dives in this course are the Navigation Dive & the Deep Dive & must be done.
The ELECTIVE dives could include some of the following: Boat dive, Night dive, Underwater Photography, Underwater Naturalist, Search & Recovery, Wreck dive, Peak Performance Buoyancy dive & more.
Once the Advanced Open Water course is successfully completed you will receive an Advanced certification card which is valid for life.
This certification level will enable you to hire and/or purchase all necessary equipment and take part in scuba diving activities, provided you always dive with a buddy, independently from an instructor or diving school for recreational purposes.
Also by completing your Advanced course you’d have broadened your possibilities of diving nearly any available dive site.
Your depth limit of 18m (During the Open Water Course) will now become 30m (Advanced Open Water) The Open Water Course & the Advanced Open Water Course are the most popular Scuba Diving courses in the world.

Once you’ve obtained your SSI Advanced Adventurer certification or your PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification you’ll now be ready to continue building on your skills and awareness to included targeted safety and first aid skills which are so much needed as a responsible diver, remembering that the best and most successful rescue is the prevention of it happening in the first place.
